about meets
The club has weekly meets on a Wednesday evening to a local climbing wall or crag, and we have weekend meets on average once a month. In addition, members tend to meet informally to climb as and whenever!
Our activites centre around climbing and mountaineering. Members are enthusiastic about other aspects of mountainering and activities include:
- rock climbing - both traditional and sport
- winter climbing
- hill walking
- skiing - maining cross-country and ski-touring
- camping
- travelling
There has always been an element of the club who mountaineer in other countries and, more recently, sun-rock outings have taken place in Spain, France, Italy, and further afield.
